We invite you to join us at the Metabolomics Circle (MetCircle 2024) and Advances in Pharmaceutical Analysis (APA2024) Symposia –which will take place on 14 to 16 th of Novemver 2024 in Lodz (Poland) at Lodz University of Technology (Faculty of Chemistry).

Both Symposia are famous for a high-level scientific exchange. The MetCircle symposium will mark its 10th annual edition, bringing together scientists engaged in the application of advanced technologies, bioinformatics tools, and novel research approaches in metabolomics. The second Symposium, APA 2024, covers innovative and essential topics in the field of pharmacy and pharmaceutical sciences.

The combination of these two conferences will foster the exchange of experiences and set innovative directions for the development of both metabolomics and pharmacy. Following the scientific success of the earlier Symposia editions we now provide you with the opportunity to participate in MetCircle and APA 2024 Symposia.

The symposia are organized by the Faculty of Chemistry of the Lodz University of Technology in collaboration with Medical University of Lodz and Medical University of Gdansk, the Committee on Analytical Chemistry of the Polish Academy of Sciences (PAN) and the Polish Chemical Society (PTChem).

The Alchemium Building - the magic of tomorrow's chemistry - is located at 114 Żeromskiego Street, within the campus of the A Faculty of the Lodz University of Technology. Completed in 2021, this four-story modern building with glass facades houses a conference center. The entire Alchemium complex will ultimately consist of four facilities, developed in two stages. The subsequent buildings are designated for laboratory and educational spaces.

At the heart of Alchemium lies the Prof. Tadeusz Paryjczak Auditorium, capable of accommodating 500 attendees. This auditorium spans across three upper floors and is equipped with state-of-the-art audiovisual equipment. Additionally, the complex features a Senate Hall for 100 people and 14 lecture halls.

About Łódź

Łódź is a city of contrasts that intrigues at almost every step. It is full of factories, yet very green, eclectic and avant-garde. Łódź dazzles with the splendor of post-industrial palaces and amazes with artistic installations. Although the city's history dates back six centuries, the dynamic development of Łódź took place less than 200 years ago. From a small settlement at the beginning of the 19th century, it quickly became a "promised land" giving tens of thousands of families hope for a better tomorrow.

In the city space you can come across numerous traces of the multicultural workers' melting pot. Łódź was such a crucible until World War II. After the war, becoming the film capital of Poland, it opened another important chapter of its history. In 2017, it was admitted to the UNESCO Creative Cities Network as a City of Film. In 2019, it received the title of Best Value Destination from the famous British publisher of travel guides Lonely Planet. In 2022, Łódź was included in the National Geographic Best of the World list!

Despite the dynamic development and constant changes taking place in the city, Łódź does not forget about its roots related to the 19th-century textile industry. Old factories located in the city center are not demolished, but turned into modern lofts, service centers and tourist attractions. Historic pre-war tenement houses are being renovated to preserve the original 19th century layout of the city.

Today, Łódź is a creative city, a city of festivals, a city being discovered completely anew. It is located in the very heart of Poland, at the intersection of the main highways - one could say that all Polish roads lead to... Łódź.
